Osborne Samuel Gallery are delighted to present our new exhibition, Keith Vaughan: States of Tension. This is the first exhibition on Keith Vaughan to be held in our new location at 21 Cork Street, in the heart of Mayfair.Twenty-eight significant paintings will be included in the exhibition (oils and works on paper), the majority of which are for sale. Together, they cover almost the entire chronological spectrum of Vaughan’s career; the earliest dating from 1935, the latest being 1975, the penultimate year of the artist’s life.A comprehensive printed catalogue accompanies the exhibition with a compelling introductory essay by Vaughan scholar, Gerard Hastings. Critical essays by Hastings accompany each entry, with several paintings never having previously been written about.
