Crochet Class – Learn Mosaic Crochet with a Mosaic Purse

Description Crochet a stylish purse designed by Tinna Thórudóttir using 1 of 2 mosaic patterns, and learn 2 techniques – the fundamentals of mosaic and using a zip with crochet.  The best part is – there is no sewing!  You begin at the zip and can make the purse to any size you desire. Sign up for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 classes. During the first class Lynda will provide an overview of the construction and reading mosaic charts and have you begin your purse at the zip.   In the remaining 3 classes during the month Lynda will continue to guide you through the completion of the remainder of the pattern. This class is designed for those familiar with basic crochet stitches—chain stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet. Materials: Any size yarn can be used with this, but I recommend at least a 4ply yarn of at least 2 colours.  You can use as many colours as you wish, and the quantity will depend on your size.  Zipper for the width of your purse. You can use your own yarn or purchase yarn in the shop on the day – a 10% discount will apply to purchases of yarn in store on the day (excludes yarn already on sale) Suggested Yarns: Catona, Wren, Catona Shine, Catona Chroma. A bit about your teacher: Lynda learnt to crochet when she was about 8 years old.  She has owned Crochet Australia for over 10 years where she has been regularly leading crochet classes and clinics.   Lynda has completed her Crochet Teaching Certificate with the Craft Yarn Council of America and teaches at the Crochet Teaching Course now run by the Crochet Guild of Australia.
